A few words about myself...
Roman Pletka is a research staff member and master inventor for cloud storage, data, and AI systems at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich) obtained in 2004. During his career in storage system research, he developed a wide range of flash management algorithms that have been integrated into several generations of enterprise all flash arrays and RAID controllers. His thesis was on adaptive end-to-end quality-of-service guarantees in IP networks supervised by Prof. Dr. Burkhard Stiller and Prof. Dr. James P. G. Sterbenz. Before joining IBM Research, he was a software engineer at AdNovum Informatik AG in Zurich.
